I'm planning to make a tropical pond, advice please?

Everything sounds very well planned out. It really depends on where you live as far as weather goes. Weather can play a huge factor on things. I would call or visit a local pet/fish store that would know more knowledge on filter systems as well as fungi/algae solutions because they do make drops to put in the pound that are safe for the fish.
