Can the word sucb as a synonym for "resort" as in "to acquiesce"?

In a discussion with my friend, he made a statement that was an obvious lie in order to win an argument. I said to him, "so you had to sucb to lying to win the argument" my friend said "that's an improper use of the word sucb." Is he correct?
