Hoover Tumble Dryer HNC160?

My dryer motor makes a noise when turned on but the drum does not spin, I have open the dryer and turned it on and started to spin it by hand then it will start spinning from the motor. Any ideas why the motor will not start to spin the drum without me manually helping it to spin???
