How do you comfort someone who lost her job?

A very good friend of mine just told me that she lost her job and now she's down and not willing to face people. I really wanna say something or send some nice words to comfort and support her, but I ain't that poetic. At this moment I can't go to her city or send her material support since I'm not in good monetary situation. But I believe not all support must cost big, sometimes a few nice words can help someone to overcome their hard times. Any advice guys?
